Good day gents.

Some amazingly low mileage cars at the dyno today, very impressed.

Toby´s car has AMAZING potential. 295hp at 7psi with a "2.5, small turbo and according to him a bad manifold.
And Oakey´s 2.7 made very nice figures as well.

I see high numbers for E30´s and UK BMW´s soon

Hey,you gave me lots of help when I was planning and building my engine,it was good to put a face to the name. Your wheels looked very cool, shame that you had problems at the end of the day. Those '5's looked mean, wish that I had never sold mine..just imagine,a 520i with a 2.7...

glad you got home ok anyway, good to meet you. had a pretty dismal run back up the M1 as it soon started raining - and despite the resulting light footed-ness the b@stard still ended up burning 55 quid's worth of unleaded today  8O

what mods you got? I thought you had a bexleys built car with gasflowed head and mild cam swap?

It is running standard 325i head at the moment. I removed my gasflowed one ready for a rebuild with lairier cam ready for the individual throttle bodies winkeye after head gasket problems.

At the moment its basically just a bexleys built bottom end running on Megasquirt with wasted spark. No afm etc..

Bexleys only built bottom end BTW. :D

With a mental cam, ITB's and a good bit of mapping I'm hoping for a nice power figure :D

Your car was the best sounding car there though

What were the figures, 220hp? Not sure about the engine specs.

Looks a great day!

From the front his sounds the best. Exhaust note from the six's is unbeatable :D

I think the 320is put down a dissapointing 180ish hp? about 140ftlb I think

maxfield wrote:180 at the wheels?
No. Thats why it was dissapointing. I think he would have been chuffed with 180@wheels. The fuelling was out apparently.

I think bss325 sport put out more power and torque

That needs some cams and a remap

It definately does. Thats what his plans are- remap and cams

Daimlermans 2.7 has potential for more power also. He should gain a few more ponies easily once he gets the fuelling sorted. 8)

I really enjoyed the day, Sal and his team were very professional and easy to talk to, so a very big thanks to them and Barry for organising the day.

Weather wise i have not been so cold in a very long time, and i think that was the same for most people.

It was really good to meet everyone, thanks for making it a great day.

Just for the record, 184.9BHP and 190 torque, very pleased from a 20 year old E28 528i with only mods being manifold and s/s system:
