Great day, good to meet a load of other e30 nuts... even if I dont have a clue who most of them were...
Was fun stretching the legs of my wagon in that 'quiet little car park' but with a combination of massive understeer, gay open diff and a slipping clutch I didnt manage much more than driving in circles with the inside wheel spinning.
Still fun though, some damn good blasts along the country lanes and good to find out where fritz bitz is and what a f*cking goldmine of e30 parts it is!
My lasting inpressions of the day were how bloody quick chrisp's turbo'd 1.8 is after if flew past me like I was chugging along in 2nd (I was doing 90, uphill) and... And I know I'm going to get grief for this... but I was damn impressed with the 318is's today, they certainly can shift.
More pics dammit! I saw at least 5 cameras and numerous phones being used so I demand more pics!

Thank you to everyone for a
great meet.
Got sunburnt, gained some stonechips but had an absolute blast......
Was cool to meet such a nice bunch of likeminded people and everyone was so welcoming & friendly (even to a 'non-E30' owner!

)
LOVED the drives.....especially the first one from the service station @ J27 (maybe my car's not that slow after all!

)
Thanks for the invite EKO (see - forgotten your name already!

) will definately try and make another one....rolling road session @ Fritz's in the tonka truck maybe?
I'll upload the photos (all 5 of them!) tomorrow but it might be a few days until I get time to 'edit' all the video footage into one piece so please be patient!
Thank you again everyone and I hope to meet you all again at a future meet.....
Bruce.
P.S. Despite recently selling a few motors to clear some drive space and raise some much needed cash - I'm SERIOUSLY tempted to get a touring now! How am I gonna explain that one to the Mrs??

(and before you say it - no I'm
NOT selling the Zed to get one!

You were right! How many times did you have to stop for water on your way home in the end?

Credit for climbing on the truck... the roof on those trailers is made of paper thin fibre glass normally
