7 cars on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. Two cars on each day were mine.

With at least 60 zoners with E30s in Scotland, and the 30th anniversary of the E30 in the uk, I think it was a poor turnout. The bmw car club scottish branch had 20 cars booked and 19 turned up......

This is no criticism of those who had to pull out, just a general point about a lack of buy in to Meets and Events. I've resigned from my Meets Organiser role on here, I hope any successors have more luck. It was planned well before Glamis but if I'm being honest, if it wasn't I'd have defo resigned after Glamis.

Thanks to those who did come along

good I like it, But getting a bit home sick hahaha! might come back end of September? also made a good dent in my funds I have only seen two e30's here, very disappointing and one was more like half a e30

there's a fair community of IX owners in Canada, but given how spread out the population is, might be tough to see any. They run them up to and beyond 250,000 miles and the prices of them have gone through the roof recently.

Enjoy !

I was along on Sunday, the weather was fantastic and lots of interesting stuff to see at the show.

However, after the anticipation of seeing a large collection of E30s and having spent 2 days trying to make my car look presentable I was pretty disappointed to be one of only six cars there. Our patch of field looked pretty bare compared to all the other clubs.

It was a decent drive to get there and it was a shame not to have had a bigger turnout. Well done to those who made the effort, on both days. Some nice E30s.

Added to that it was the E30s 30th Anniversay in the UK, that added to my disappointment.

If you looked around every other stand, they had banners advertising the club and also a shelter to put bits and pieces in. If we had stuff like that, do you think it would make a difference to interest and attendance ?

^^ It might make a difference over time, if people attending knew what to expect.

I did go expecting to see at least a sign on our stand and perhaps a small shelter and a couple of seats. I think I have that image in my head from seeing photos of other car shows on this forum.

There shouldn't be any greater incentive to show up than getting a good group of folk together with their cars to stand around and talk sh1te all day. This year could have been extra good because of the amazing weather - from all accounts the weather is usually rubbish. If it had been raining at Glamis on Sunday it would have been a miserable time with so few people.

Lets hope the next meet is better attended. Perhaps the new meets organiser should get a date in the diary before the sunny weather disappears!
