A couple of vids from yesterdays track day.
Sorry about the sound quality (or lack of it), it was a bit too windy for the mic on my camera and I had to reduce the quality of the clips to upload them.
Glenns Vid....

Thats cause you had Richy behind you - cant have that 320i wrongness showing you up
I think the one where the Atom passes you is one of your first laps - I cant remember which order the Vids were in originally.

Shame about the wind noise, some in car footage is going to capture the sound better ?

I'm not suprised he got told off, i think some track day organizers would have asked him to leave IMO.

If it wasnt so windy it would of been fine. I would of been up for some in car footage

but cause I was working the night before, I didnt get there until about 3pm - 2 hours sleep and then a 2hour drive thanks to the bloody traffic
I think March is the next one - and Im taking part in that one, either in the 330i if its ready

or the XR3i for a laugh.
The guy in the E36 received a small 'warning' and the marshall bloke seemed a little 'upset' but it all seemed good humoured at the end. Might of been different had there been more cars on the track I guess. I think it was the last lap of the day as well, so that may of helped.

If i've got the dosh i might join you on the track.

I'm definetley doing March, and i agree James in car footage is a must, it has to be secured though, no loose cameras so shall invest in a car mount.

I cant wait to get it on the road, let alone the track. Although I may take it easier on the first outing than Glenn did

(sorry glenn)
Would be cool if you made it as well. I will be up for a few track days at different tracks when money allows, Llandow is reasonably close to me and pretty cheap so its ideal
Oops - just seen the time gotta get to work

I didnt do anything wrong intentionally, I span, tried to move away quickly, 1st gear and wet track wouldnt allow me to get out of the way quick enough, I was panicking to get off the track b4 something crashed into me.
And ive never been on any track in my life, that was my first time.

Dale,
I missed that.

I left after the car started to run rough.
Nice to meet you, I bet your discs and pads are knackered now. LOL

Mark

Nice to meet u too m8, put a smile on my face seeing the 2002's.
Brakes seem fine after some normal town driving, it could do with new disks and pads as they tend to fade/warp after spirited driving.

It didn't look and it definitely sounded as if was intentional the 2nd time, and you shouldn't have been on track if that wasn't intentional as that would mean that you just didn't have a clue. Really pisses me off when I see people pissing about like that, this is NOT what trackdays are about and you shouldn't spoil it for others by being a prat! Preach over
Wish i'd known about this guys, i use Llandow alot and it's only 10 mins for me and would have joined in

I would be a bit panicky in his situation. Got to give the guy a chance mate, I am contemplating my first trackday and getting in the way of someone is my biggest worry.

Yea i no what you mean Olly, it was my main worry on my 1st track day. Its one thing damaging your own car, but totally different to damage an innocent car thats in the wrong place at the wrong time!
Have to say tho, that 2nd lap where you spun definately looked planned!

I've been there and done it and know what the 1st time feels like and I understand all that but this was intentional, just listed to the revs, either that or he thought he had car control and stabbing at the accelerator was the way to go, either way it's bad news for serious track people!

definately!
