Looking good Gray
Pity about the turnout, shame I couldn't make it

How about a write up of what you guys got upto? I thought it was a lot of mileage to cover over the time you were away - how many miles/any interesting points/gossip etc.....?

Only took a couple of pics on this trip.

Just as we turned onto the Applecross road.
Almost got a clear run up the to the summit, with only a couple of other(slow movers) getting out of the way pretty sharpish

The descent didn't seem to affect my brakes at all.
They still squealed like a stuck pig as they didn't get enough heat in them.

well you must have brakes that exceed my elise ones!!

or... you were not pushing hard enough! lol

ace road tho - my e30 will be getting a roast over there before the weather closes in!

Nothing fancy on the tourer
Just 335/32s with 6 pots,race spec pads,braided hoses with an E30 M3 master cylinder.

Stops sharpish enough :D

it's a fun road not a fast one, you wouldn't want a swapper on it. Last time I was there I spent half the time reversing or waiting in passing places.

The photos are excellent. Is he relieving himself in the last one? :D

i was pretty luck in that there was a huge group of us, and me being mid pack, it was easy to sit back a bit and let the guys in front clear the road for a quick blast, dunno what the locals at the bottom thought when 20-30 lotus variants came into the pub car park!

It was a good weekend. West coast weather was in our favour that weekend.
Not a lot of traffic on the roads at the time of year, so made swift progress up to Gairloch accomadation for the evening.

We'll be running another one later in the year, probably Perthshire based this time though.
Already have 1 or 2 nice wee roads in mind winkeye .

Currently thinking of basing it near Creiff this year Grant.
Found a wee place that won't break most folks budgets, with a watering hole nearby for those requiring food and refreshments of an evening.

Basing it in Perthshire opens up the possibility of one of our favourite back roads over to Kenmore(no Jags with duff brakes this time winkeye ),The Green welly at Tyndrum,Glencoe,Oban,Bute, the single track down to Campbeltown etc etc.
