E30 Zone

Just a few shots of the E30s that attended the day. The weather couldn't have been better and the cars were looking good. It was my first RR day and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, except for listening to the old gal be revved soooo hard.
Still it survived and didn't get the wooden spoon That went to stonsie for - well I'll let him tell you.
Mine made 121bhp and I thought that was not bad from an old smoker.

who made the best figures on the day?

E30 wise, I do believe it was daimlerman with his M50 powered Touring.
There was an Ultima there with a V8 Chevvy engine that made around 400bhp.

The highest powered bmw was a re-mapped 335I with a figure of 356bhp at the flywheel, the lowest was mine with 96


There was a rather nice E46 M3 CSL which would not rev past 6K on the rollers, the cars computer said NO to the back wheels doing that with the fronts stood still, He took me out in it and WOW! mine really did feel sh!te after that

My 2.7 made 178.5bhp,the M50 touring 184bhp.They were using a huge 'correction factor' to allow for the very high ambient temperature,with that reduced the 2.7's figure worked out at 186bhp.....
Strangely,my wife said how much she had enjoyed the day out,wonder what she wants?...
