Are are lots of fans you can use just go to the scrap yard.
Most people use the bmw aircon fan.

Thanks for that mate, rally design is an awsome website for parts!

What size fan do you think i should use?

Would you have the fan pulling or blowing?

From memory the radiator will fit a 14 inch fan but measure first as i may be wrong. I had a 10 inch blower as thats all that fits in the plastic housing behind grill but made hardly any difference. I would try removing viscous fan and fitting biggest fan you can to pull air thru rad! I got mine from car builder solutions. Their fans can be used as either blowers or pullers depending on which way round the fan blade is mounted. I would also get a fan temperature control kit (automatically switches on/off. Temp can be set between 70 deg to 120 deg from rally des - 40 quid-ish).

Hope this helps, let me know how u get on, Mark

my two bits, i used an 87 rs turbo electric fan if your familiar with the system it goes on the other side of the rad
in between the bumper and radiator you'll have to custom fit it, it's powerfull and does the job.

ask martin what fan he is running tris think he is running a 14. mine has a 10 inch fan on its sound for reving the nuts out of it if your not going to slow. but when your drifting like in le bray the temp guage goes up to the middle so i could probably do with a 12 or a 14 on mine. but i would of though a 14 would be more than enough on your rally car cause you not really going to be sat in trafic all the time in it. def go for the the control kit aswell mine is wired on a switch atm which is a bit shit cause in the winter it takes ages to warm up but i never turn it off incase i forget to turn it back on and the car over heats. i think martin got his fan pretty cheap aswell from ebay, ask him where he got it from

I have found a stat that will bolt straight into the rad but it is a fixed temperature of on at 87c and off at 82c is this high enough or am i going to find the fan is on all of the time?
