I have a completely standard 325i sport mtech 2... it looks mint, but after a while i've decided that i would like some new wheels.
What size can i go upto without rubbing against the arches? and how wide can i go also? (i've currently got the 205/55/R15 multispokes, which to my knowledge where standard)
cheers

15" bbs standard wheels, they will always look the best on an e30, its meant to be!

...but look tiny against the bulky Mtec2 kit(IMO of course

)
7 1/2 x 16`s look good and fill the arches well.Alpina/Hartge/BBS for starters but loads to choose from.

BBS's are period wheels. Get them minted up and leave them on, as there's nothing better than seeing a clean E30 on tidy BBS's !!! Please don't ruin a standard sport with huge wheels dude. It's just wrong.

BBS's are period wheels.
Got to agree , it sounds like you have a nice Sport there mate, so i would be looking at some period wheels to compliment your car,not just the original BBS but as stated above ,maybe some Hartge or Alpina.

BBS 15s all the way. I've got them on my sport and I wouldn't change them for anything. A sport doesn't need big wheels to try make it look good. Stay original. BBS all the way
