Simplest ideas always seem to leave biggest room for error...

I now have a nail stuck down the side of the tumbler, resulting in the ignition key being stuck in place and obviously as the back has already been removed the car is free to start at will :o:  8O

Tumbler didnt even move.. Infact, i think it went further in

Try filing down the nail a bit and then give it another try

magnet and jiggle. failing that, some heat, vice grips and a slide hammer!

When one of my ignition locks did this I found that WD40 and lots of jiggling did it for me...(as the actress said to the bishop)

I'd say daimlerman's suggestion first off, then out with the chisels & drills!
