...and is it bad that its not doing it

this her little box seems to be coming off a loom behind the drivers side haedlights, its just sitting on the chassis rail quite happily, it has two blue connector blocks coming off it and has lots of meaningless (to me) numbers and the word 'hella' on it.

im assuming something to do with the lights but all is working fine in that department

any thoughts?

It is the headlight wiper/washer control module (Streuscheiben-reinigungsgeber). It should be screwed into the plastic recess between the windscreen washer and intensive cleaner bottles.

As above. Im guessing the headlight wiper system stopped working so the previous owner half removed it.

ah good. cheers for the replys. I think the wash wipe system died a death long ago, not that I particularly miss it.
