abs light

HI All, My neighbour has an e30 cab, after trying to jumpstart it the abs light came on, he fitted a new batt light sayed on. What might cause this & how do i cure it?

ABS ECU relay often blows after a spike in current such as a jump start.
On a cab its most likely a silver thing next to or behind the ABS ECU which is above the glovebox, take off the glovebox door and the surround at the top and you will find it.
Get a relay from BMW or a similar age cab or pre facelift e30 to replace.
