E30 Zone

For about a week my temp guage has been intermittently doing the flicking thing - I know that this means tighten the nut at the back but have been a bit lazy coupled with being busy at work.

Howvever yesterday and today upon starting up the needle just flops over to the right and stays there.

Is this the SI battery going (econometer and rev counter are fine ) or is there another possible reason?

well my si batteries have gone and leaked over everything nearly and everything still works fine but I wouldn't rukle them out! When you say "flops over to the right " you mean it goes right into the red?

I changed my SI Board to sort similar problem.
