Touring tailgate struts

Are these easy to replace?

Mine have suddenly failed, and bloody hell the tailgate is heavy without them...

Doddle to replace - just a C-spring at each end of the damper.

Excellent, excuse my laziness, I just remembered mine had failed.

£25 each from BMW though... 8O

Hi Mind and have someone hold the tailgate,as you said very heavy.I changed one on my wifes Compact without help and it cost me a new rear glass. :o:

Look for replacements on german E-bay.
I got a set from this seller http://stores.ebay.co.uk/unit-trader
