E30 Zone

was out in my car the other night and it cut out my m8 thought it was the fuel pump so changed that
still nothin then noticed it was arcin at the dizzy so changed that and noticed the rotar arm tip was a bit bent so changed that
and still nothin ????
also changed fuel pump relay from car that was runnin and checked the fueses

any suggestions would b much appreciated

You haven't told us what model it is, it's age, or even if it's a BMW!!
Assuming it's an E30, then follow standard procedure - check for sparks and fuel pump activity when cranking.

Try spraying something flammable such as aerosol brake cleaner into the air intake pipe after the filter. This will usually indicate if it's a fuel or spark problem as the engine will run on the brake cleaner if theres a spark. This also works on diesel engines and believe it or not but the ford technical hotline even recommend this technique for starting problems.

sorry its a e30 2.5 its had an engine swap was a 2.0 but was done be 4 i got the car

I'm still not clear what the current state of the car is! Does it run? Or run and cut out? If it doesn't run, does it turn over on the starter motor? Does it show any kind of firing at all?

it was runin and died now wont start at all cranks over but doesnt fire up sometimes it sounds like its goin 2 but doesnt
