E30 Zone

In the last couple of days the car has developed a medium pitch 'screech' on start up that last for two seconds immediately following engine start/key release. Once started the car drives fine.

I've yet to look and listen under the bonnet as can only get an assistant tomorrow. Grateful if anyone can suggest a likely cause.

Fan/alternator belt needs tightening, probably.
