Are you testing it with the door closed ?

You can't lock the door if it's open (or you haven't flipped the catch over to simulate the door being closed).

just have mate. It will unlock with the central locking, but when its closed the key turns and nothing happens :x I have to open the rear door then reach into the front to lock it via the pin, then it kicks in the central locking and everything locks.
My doors now on/locked and safe but id rather not have to live with locking my car like that

There's a slotted adjustment for the locking motor. Try that for a start.
If you can't cure the problem that way, the cause is likely to be wear in the L shaped alloy arm on the back of the key barrel assembly. Bend the steel fork on the door catch that it engages with very slightly, so that it contacts an unworn part of the alloy arm.

The C/L motor is held to the inner door skin with two 6mm (?) hex head screws, the holes in the door skin are slots to allow for adjustment of the motor position.
