Im going to have to relace the oil in my diff just been to the stealers and they want Ԛ£15 per litre +VAT!

I was just wondering if anyone knows of where i can get it cheaper? They tell me its Castrol XJ. Just i want to do two diffs and at about Ԛ£60 +VAT seems to be a bit more than i want to pay out! Can anyone help please.

Use castrol B 373. Its for racing use and if its good enough for racing its good enough for me. I have it in my diff and it works better than the crude that came out of it. Ԛ£5 per litre. Nuff said.

Oh 3 different options now? I dont mind changing to another oil especially if its better and cheaper just want to make sure that both of them are totally fine. Has anyone else use something different?

castrol xj is the stuff. you should only need three litres to change the oil in both diffs.

It's about 40 quid for two litres, just take a container down with you for them to decant it from there bulk oil drums.Just ask for LSD dif oil.
Any good quality fully synthetic LSD specific oil is ok for these diffs, they're excellent ZF LSD units, as used in many non-BMW applications. (Ford Capri, Opel Manta etc.)
Personally, for a standard road car I'd be tempted to use a cheaper LSD oil.

(I was using Castrol B373 oil with these LSD units in rally cars 20 years ago, without problems)
Castrol B373 is around Ԛ£4 per litre.
