was just checking my fluid levels earlier on today and noticed there is a big crack in the clutch fluid reservoir screw lid.
doesnt look like it would be totally air tight, the fluid level is ok though, although very dark in colour?
will the cracked lid effect anything? i have been noticing my clutch slipping a bit lately......

I doubt it'd make the clutch slip but you can guarantee there's moisture in the fluid.
Common problem with the clutc res cap, new caps aren't expensive.

The reservoir doesn't need to be air tight the lid is there to stop crap geeting in there and the fluid getting out.
Replace the lid with a new one.

If the fluid is very dark, it's long overdue for a change. Most people happily change the brake fluid every couple of years (some don't

), but most don't give the clutch fluid a second thought.
