E30 Zone

i went to fold down my rear seats in my new touring today to get some in there, and i cant do it.

are the button things in the top of the seats at the edges?
if thats what those things in mine are, then one is sticking up but would need geoff capes to press it down coz i cant, and the one on the other side is stuck down into the seat, i tried to pry it up and it bent my favourite screw-driver!.

any ideas anyone?, its a bit dark out, but ill take pics tomorrow if it helps

There are pressed metal levers at the base of the seat backs which release them.

wonder what the things on the top edge of the seats do then?

Lift the rear bases, and the backs will uncatch automatically usually, otherwise wiggle the lever that you'll see when you lift the bases up.

When the bases are lifted, the things on the top pop up, when the back is folded forward, they locate into the lifted bases.
