Removing the kidney grilles

Is there a knack? Im going to take them off to paint them black and i dont want to break anyhting in the process! Is it easy?

Two metal spring clips at the top, and a plastic locating spigot at the bottom - that's it.

Yep total doddle of a job had mine out yesterday trying to work out the routing of headlight washer lines with leaks, the joys a buying a car that the last owners havnt loved or cared for or had much mechanical sympathy

As a quick extra note when you get it off the 2 chrome kidneys are held on by 4 plastic rivets, in middle of rivet is a plastic pin if you push pins out the rivets can be removed and the chrome comes away, easier to paint or in my case polish cos I like it shiney
