I'm getting a scraping noise from the front passenger wheel when turning.I'll be having a look tomorrow and was wondering if there was anything common i should be looking for.

Tyre rubbing on the wheel arch liner is one possible cause, might have a broken clip or two letting it sag a little. ?

Dude if your tyres are to wide or you have negative wheel offset it may be rubbing on the front of the plastic wheel arch liner

it will be the metal anti-squeal shield.
they are usually so rusty you can just bend it back with your fingers to stop the rubbing noise
raise the wheel rotate it and check for noise
then take wheel of and rotate the disc. you'll see and hear it
