Can anyone help as am out of idears on whats causing the exhaust noise.
I had a new back box and center rear box fitted to my IS. Was fine for a couple of weeks then had the rear sub frame bushs replaced. Ever since then the exhaust make a groaning noise when going over rough roads and round a bend (to the left). I had it off then put it back on still does it. Think its the flange connection to the back section of the down pipe. The two connecting bolts are spring loaded. Is it like that for allowed movement.
To get the flange connected tight the bolts have to completely compress the springs around the bolts. Is this correct or should the springs be renewed.
Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks
