E30 Zone

Does anyone know how often the power steering reservoir is meant to be replaced as I would of thought the filter inside needs replacing at some point like any other filter.

There's no specified interval, and, as it's recirculating fluid it shouldn't normally need replacing.
I backwash the filter mesh if I happen to have a resevoir off for any reason, but I've no idea if I'm doing any good.
