Can you tell easily by looking at rear subframe bushes if they collapsed? What should one look for

Try jacking the car up on the rear beam, you should be able to tell visually if the bushes need to be replaced, ie. rubber deteriorated and/or core pulling out.

I know at least one MOT tester that can't! Gave me an advisory on nine month old ones once!!!! (Went through three MOTs after that without a mention).
