Help me people. Im leaking under the dash on the passenger side. Is this the heater matrix or pipes? Is it a bitch of a job to fix?

She's nearly perfect, this is one of the 3 jobs left!

most probably the heater control and its not repairable get one from the scrappies or put a ad up not difficult but a pita as one of the screws is a sh*t to get at however when i did mine i got to this screw and used a pair of side cutters to cut around it and remove the plastic and then used grips to take out the screw

I had a similar leak on mine and it was the plug type thing underneath the car. Sealed that up and its been dry ever since.

is it defo coolant or just water? theres a rubber gromet behind the glovebox that wires etc go through to the engine bay. see if water is comin in there. some silicone should sort that one out anyway

Also check the drain tube, known as the Elephant trunk, on the bulkhead near the rear of the head/exhaust manifold, if that's blocked the drain channels flood the heater/air intake & cause the symptoms you have.

Do you have to keep topping up the coolant in the header tank?

see where the rusty water has been running from?

underneath fusebox under the bonnet, from inside the car i put my hand up behind where the glovebox would be and i could get my hand through the hole in the bulkhead
