Not really a technical question but never mind. I need new engine mounts for my track day 325sport as the exisitng ones failed resulting in a munched radiator and gear linkage. Any recomendations for a source or possible upgrade? thanks Scott

There was a little glitch with the server Simon, guessing that's why it was there 4 times...

Nothing wrong with standard mounts.

I have just fitted some solid machined engine mounts to mine as a result of the standard sh1te items failing at donington! You can buy them from a few spots but I got a friend to make them.
The standard mounts are no use at all!
My solid ones are fine too,the engine is going nowhere now and with it being silky smooth six pot wrongness there is no undue harshness, just a bit more vibration on start up and pulling away at low revs(i.e-just avoiding stalling).
Fine in a track car, wouldnt fancy them on a honda vtec though-would shake your fillings loose! :D

Cheers Shuey, the car is still road going and I intend on doing about 3k on the roads every year. Solid mounts are a bit daunting, do you run yours on the road? (Donnington is just awesome)

Engine mounts are a doodle, get the car up on ramps firstly, get a jack under the engine with a block of wood under it against the sump, or more preferable on the lug on the edge of the block on the drivers side of the engine. Be careful at this point, too far and you can damage the radiator pipes.

Like so...

Undo the old mounts; 19mm nuts on the underside of the subframe and on the upper side of the engine mounts. Jack up and swap out, lower back down with the new mounts and bolt back in, roll off the ramps and enjoy 8)
