My E30 has a tech1 steering wheel which has seen better days, and is also more suited to a bus than a car, i need a smaller wheel, would like it if it was from another bmw too to keep it looking original.

The MTech1 and MTech2 'wheels were both made in 370mm diameter, but they don't come up for sale very often.
Standard 'wheels - including both the MTech ones were 385mm.
IIRC, some of the Alpina, Hartge and ACS 'wheels were done in 360mm.

My standard saxo wheel was 350mm, as is the aftermarket one i have fitted. Might get a hub boss and use that!

Cheers for the help matey :)

Just as a matter of interest, I run a 360mm raid 'wheel on my Touring. I'd have thought anything smaller would be too small. It masks the speedo, and even with power steering it's heavy at car park speeds.

My saxo has no power steering and it's quite hard to park but is fine once moving, the steering is really light on the E30, and the wheel is too big for track work, it's spot on for motorway driving and stuff though as you can steer much more precisely :D

Hmmm. Something to ponder over then.

Yeah my spare wheel is a momo, leather and alcantara, although the alcantara has worn down from numerous grabs at the wheel on track days, still it should do. wanted a bmw one really though :(

your best bets a tech 2 mate, they still bmw but small as you'll get without masking the speedo etc. good luck finding a decent one before the vultures around here grab it tho winkeye
