ALLEN BOLT

Hi guys i have one question: on m40 and m42 engines theres an allen bolt located on the oil filter housing on the front side of the engine almost opposite to the oil pressure sender location. Does any one knows its use?Does oil have pressure inside this bolt (seems like plug)or it can be used as an oil return???It seems like it has a sort of valve in it because air cant pass clean through it.
