Finished rebuilding my head, but the engine wont start. I have a spark and she is getting fuel.

I have one little electrical connector and i cant find anything to plug it into.

Im hoping that this is my problem.

There is agathering of three connectors all taped up and they come from just below the intake manifold.

One connects onto the throttle body and the other onto the air flow meter.

And then im im left with one spare. The number on it is BMW 1714138

Can anyone help, im hoping this is why she wont fire! cheers

The third is for the carbon canister on Emissions Control equipped cars - if you don't have a cat, it won't plug into anything.
It wouldn't affect normal starting and running anyway.
You may have mixed them up, unlikely as the canister connector is usually cable-tied back and pointed down.
In any case, an M20 with Motronic ECU will start and idle with just the crank position sensor connected
