Hi,

Can anyone tell me the inside diameter on part number 16 from the following link?

http://bmwfans.info/original/E30/2-T/31 ... l-13_0289/

My car's smells of petrol and I can see it coming from this pipe, I want to get a new piece from the motor factors.

Thanks

Peter

Just replaced these myself and I work in a factors, so can confidently say they are 8mm internal. You might as well replace all the rubber hose at the same time, its all 8mm, about a metre and a half is more than enough. In my experience it all perishes at the same rate. You need to take the top half of the inlet manifold off to do the job properly so you will also need two gaskets for this which are about 3-4 quid each and are available from Payen. A good factor will be able to get them.

Thanks Paulie30, Just finished doing the job. Replaced both pipes under the manifold while I was in there. The other pipes looked ok but I'll probably do them when I get a chance, the sight of petrol dripping onto the engine made the two under the manifold more urgent!
