Hi, would anyone know if there any companies in the London/south east area that specialise in repairing convertible hoods. My E30 convertible has an electric roof but the mechanism has become stuck, the electric motor is still working though. Any help would be greatfully apreciated.

When i go to put the hood down it won't move unless i force it, now the lid won't lift up on its own. I can still here the motor working though.

Best not to keep forcing it then. Disconnect the motors from in the boot for now then lift the cover and see if the lever on the drivers side is bent/broken or both.

Would anyone know someone that converts electric hoods to manual ones?

If you have the manuel that comes with the car it shows you how to disconect the motors, use the rod in the tool kit and put it in the holes in the boot lining.
