205 55 15's
I'm going for Eagle F1 3's or
Toyo Proxies T1-R
I phoned a few places today and was told by both that they don't list the Eagles in my size - Am I likely to find this everywhere I go?
Where is the best place to buy tyres - I'm in the birmingham area.
And is it worth paying the extra Ԛ£25 per corner on the F1's over the proxies.
Mytyres only seem to list the F1 2's
Thanks in advance

the difference in the eagles is minimal, they do the 2's in your size?
Proxies are also very good.
It depends on how u drive and what u expect out of a tyre. F1's are the zones fav at the moment!

Are Kumhos any good as they seem very well priced?
Is the standard size 205/55/15 or something else?

The eagles come in GSD2 pattern only in your size. See
http://www.goodyear.co.uk/services/tyre ... _gsd3.html
The GSD2 is a good tyre but a bit harder than the 3. On the road, the 3 will grip better from cold, but the 2 will last longer on track (IMHO).
Also, I have used a set of Kumho 712's. Very good tyre for the price, but a league away from eagles.

whats the problem with Kumhos?
Is it just lack of grip? or something else like stability, wet weather grip or predictability when pushing them hard?
Ive never bothered spending much on car tyres before (same as a lot of BM owners it seems) but if Im going to be using the same set of rubber for the next year (or however long) on a car I actually care about then maybe I can justify spending twice as much..

tyres are boring but important, most owners on here who fit sh!te tyres only put them on the rear for arse end action. My F1's the type 2 have done nearly 10,000 and still have about 4 mm of tread left, so in the long run are cheaper than buying woosungs which wear out in 4000 miles if your lucky!
