how can you tell if you have a power steering rack fitted

as above if it's not power steering how hard is it to fit it's for a 1990 cabby :D

Simple bolt on job using all the bits from any E30 donor with the same series engine.

as brian says
very easy swap did my tech 1 in just over an hour incl jacking up car etc

make sure you get everything from the pas car pump bracket etc and the steering coupling

nice one was pas an option or did most cars come with it as standard?

think all facelifts are pas

a lot of preface are too but some people opted for non pas winkeye

but then i got older and needed the pas cos im lazy :roll:

My facelift doesn't have PAS, And sadly I don't have the muscles of the guy above :(

I have (had) two facelift 2 door 318s without PAS as well.
My Glass's guide says standard from Sept '88.
