If your engine has been chipped???? Apparently the 325 sport I bought has bb throttle body and a chip but I was wondering if there is any easy way of telling this by the way the car revs or idles??? Or is it fairly easy to find out where the chips sits and get a look at it????
P.S sorry for sounding like a toss pot

You don't sound like a toss-pot!
If your car idles at ~700rpm, it is most likely a standard chip.
Most uprated chips raise the idle to ~900rpm.
You can remove and open the ECU and check.
Underneath the steering wheel, you need to take off the panel. To the right of the steering column the ECU sits up under there. You need to undo the four 10mm bolts to release it.
You can then take apart the ecu, undoing the phillips screw and bending the lugs. You will see the chip, it has a plastic cover on it. Take this off, if it is uprated, it should have writing on it, or a company name. If it is standard it will just be black.
Hope that helps.

Hmmm im thinking that the bloke who put the indiglo M tech dials in my dash made a piss poor job of sticking the tachometer needle back on in the right place as it appears to idle at 1200rpm and the red line is off the clock at around 7100rpm???? Im thinking that this isnt right then???
Cheers dave and when shes back from the body shop il get a look under the steering wheel for an ECU thank you my good man!
