Thats its top speed. The engine doesnt have the bhp to push much faster.
But its weird why your economy gauge is showing anything at such speed/load.

Probably because it's a 320i
That's your limit!

I dont know what the actual top speed of an E30 320i was when it was new, but some where around 180/190 Km/h that means that you maybe fetch 210 km/h on the speedo. (When new)
Remember your car is old, the age tears the engine and also the performance.
How many KM do you have on the clock?

I went into Carfolio and looked up some info about your car, and they say it will do 200 Km/h who means that you should reach 210/215 Km/h on the speedo. Looks like age have done some to your car sir...

Lol
Also the picture could have been taken as your foot was lifted hence the good reading on the economy gauge perhaps?

I got my 320i up to 110mph, it could've gone a bit faster but it's best not to thrash a 19 year old engine

my 320 will hit 135ish before the 3.91 ratio lsd kicks in and limits me to that although its slightly different to your 320

.id be happy with that tbh but if your not you could put a different ratio diff in to give a higher top end but cost you acceleration wise.imo better acceleation over higher top end is more usable on a daily basis.

Why on earth not? As long as it's got BMW written on it.

i cain my 320i every where and thats got 152 thou on it. 19 years old phah! if its lasted 19 years its obviously not going to break now is it!? dont know about top speed, done 95 in it that was at bout 4500-5000 revs in mine so 110-115ish top end sounds bout right to me.

I ran my 320 with a 3.64 slipper for a while and it made no difference to top speed, your limited by the aerodynamics of the thing, well, lack of aerodynamics.
The B20 just hasn't got the poke to push past 120, i managed 135 once but that soon dropped once i got to the bottom of the hill

well i'm asking this because it's got 700-800rpm to rev limiter and the car gives most hp at 6000rpm so why the car won't use that
my friend has e36 320i and it hits 220kph and limiter stops it on 6???rpm why e30 is not using all rpm
me and him are having standard diff

Because the E36 320 has two advantages over the E30 320, both of which are relevant here.
1) It has a 24 valve twin cam engine, compared with the E30 12 valve, single cam, and
2) It has somewhat better aerodynamics than the non M E30.
