Scorpion bloddy loud and a real roar when flooring it
Or powerflow but no real gains but get the noise you are after

Also longlife do a few nice exhausts :bling:

IN my opinion the best quality you'll get, apparently made in the UK by the firm who supply exhaust & manifold 's for Porcshe Racing Team !

These are the guys who made our first group buy manifolds which arent anything special and they claimed 10bhp gains. On the dyno they made 1 bhp gain. IE....no gain whatso ever.

I dont trust these guys at all with their wild claims and Ive heard nasty stores about how they rebuild heads. Hammers and parge pieces of wood were mentioned.

Ravi,

Scorpion are loud'ish but dont give alot of bass, more of a shrill midrange noise.

Mongoose make deeper noises.

Quicksilver one of the best but I get a feeling it may be too refined for you as you do mention you want it to be louder.

If you do decide to go with Mongoose, check the group buy section for special discounts.

1) does the quicksilver release any more bhp?

2) about how much is it?

3) do you actually have one??!!

Its difficult to get any exhuast to release any more power than the standard 325i system as its a very good design to start with.

2) about how much is it?

Ԛ£500

3) do you actually have one??!!

Did have on my old Alpina.

thanks

Ive heard a 325i with a mongoose on it, its not any louder than a Scorpion and has a different kind of noise.

The quality of Powerflow varies, being a franchise and they do what they want.

They did a shit jon on my car and I was pissed off.

My mate who used to fit exhaust sorted it luckily.

Ive got a scorpion stainless steel system on my car. Sounds the dogs dangley bits at idle and when the car is pulling hard there is a nice note out of her then a real good snort when hitting around the 4500rpm. Its gives a fairly good rasp I feel and people turn round when they hear you burbling down the street at relatively low rpm. However id avoid the DTM tail pipe in my opinion as I prefer the standard twin exit design however each to thier own.

Good stuff, I'm glad to hear they do it properly in some places. I didn't rate mine at all.

*edit* scorpions with a 6 branch rock even more, proper race car sounding

BTB 6 branch with Scorpion sounds the nuts! Total cost:

Ԛ£360 for scorpion (no down pipe required)
Ԛ£500 for BTB (through group buy)

Total = Ԛ£860 for race car noises and a definate increase in power top end.

Just to add, you wont get race car noises properly until the scorpion has lost some of its internals. When that happens it sounds like nothing else!
