E30 Zone

On the NGK website, there are two types mentioned depending on what year you car is.

325 2.5 E30 84 —a> 86 BPR6E
325 2.5 E30 86 —a> 03/91 ZGR5A

My question is what if you don't know what year your engine is -and/or how can I tell.

Are these best plugs to get?

My engine is standard except for an alpina chip, k&N and 6 branch. I will be using the 5w50 oil for "enthusiastic driving" that is currently on offer at halfords.

ngk is most probably the best...but which one i dont know, heard of iridium spark plugs sounds good but no know how to explain why.

i got the earlier engine plugs in mine ,been told there better for all 325 engines

what make were they?

NGK thought that was the plug make being discussed ?

Fistly I suppose it's which is the best brand and if NGK are the best, which product number.

What about the Bosch super 4?

Essentially all I want to know is based on peoples experiences, what are the best plugs for my car without spending fifty nicker -I've heard that's apparently what Iradiums cost.

Do a search on "spark plug" and all will be revealed.
I have always used Bosch in my 86 cab but have just got the NGK BPR6ES to try instead.
I will be fitting them next weekend.

early type ngk's bpr6es are preferred bosch super4's are considered by people on here as over the top for m20's but the fastest and most responsive m20 i have ever driven runs them- pricey though compared to ngk

MGK's arepreffered, NGK BPR6ES? are the ones for the early 325i engine but they work better on the late engine than the later spark plugs, buy them and you can't go wrong

NKG BP6ES every time.Think I paid less than £8 for the last set at Partco.(When I were a lad plugs cost 5 bob..)

Just got myself 6 NGK BPR6E 's (Anyone know if there is a difference between the "BPR6E" 's and "BPR6ES" 's)?

It seems from this that "s" means "standard super copper core", so that would imply that it actually adds nothing, but on NGK's website it offers the two, so I wonder if the BPR6E core is something different:

Recommended BPR6E 6464
Alternative BPR6ES 7822
