E30 Zone

i have owned a lot of e30 325i and every one i have had has had a 2.5 stamped on the engine i brought a 325i sport 2 monthes ago and noticed it dont have the stamp on the engine is this right.as it does go like a 2.5 and has all the exstras and states it on the logbook.can any one help......

Phone BMW, give them the last 7 digits of the chassis number, and they can tell you what it left them as.
