Cab Running Rich

Been driving the cab for a couple of moths now and found it's running a bit rich, can smell the fuel fumes from the exhaust. The car was away for a year or so. Would appreciate some info to point us in the right direction to sort it out. With the weather I don't think I'll be driving her long and plan to park her back up once the so called summer is over and do a little conversion. (nothing with silly figures maybe an M50). All comments welcomed. Thanks.

I've been having similar probs. Just came back from MOT, the examiner thought it was going to fail as he could smell the petrol fumes, but it tested 0.00% CO emissions, and 1 ppm hydrocarbon content!!!! It passed with flying colours, however, I suspect that the cat is blocked. As this is a pre 92 compulsorily fitted with cat car, I'm going to convert to a straight exhaust. Might be your problem.
