318iS downpipe

have just bought a downpipe but having doubts whether its the right one!
the pics below are of my old downpipe - m40 which is on the right and supposidly the 318is downpipe on the left. they look a little too similar to me!
the other picture shows Spadge's downpipe which had just been taken off a 318is and it looks completely different to mine! just wanted soneone else's view!
