I'm considering buying some M3 smoked headlights but have a Sport, are they suitable for a right hand drive motor or can they be converted. If so is it straight forward or would you guys not recomend it.

They will fit. And should be suited for UK roads assuming they are on UK ebay, and won't be no difference to LHD cars.

sorry J, wrong

genuine hellas are for LHD only, the lens will shine to on coming traffic and are an MOT failure

are for converting them, its tedious but can be done

Kos how tedious mate, Is it worth it or is it a pain in the backside. I've heard some fella sells converted lights up north somewhere. Would it be better to buy a set of these rather than a new set of hellas which I'm gonna take apart anyway?

Do you mean smoked hella headlights as per my sig ?

You just undo the 3 screws at the back of the lamps and rotate the projector unit same as all other E30's with the projector/smiley lamps.

I have a set of smoked hella's that were lhd but now throw the beam the correct way for rhd.

E30's didn't have smoked lights from the factory anyway ?

Cheers,

Iain T

I've got genuine smoked hellas, and they kick the correct way.

And they are adjustable.

The smoked hella glass is different but the backs are the same as standard units in so far as they will adjust, they're actually the same part number as E34 units.
