E30 Zone

I bought an 1987 325e last weekend and it worked well for approx 500km. I parked it at work on Thursday and when I tried to fire it up it to go home there was no fire. I am thinking it may be the crank sensor... does anyone have any ideas and what I should do to trouble shoot the problem? Need help and ideas soonest as I commute 200km daily. Thanks.

have you tried to see if the dizzy/rotor arm works??? if not rotor then test the coil, im sure someone nice will help out (they always do)
