Is there a switch for shuting off the fuel injection system, and if so where would you find this?

Cheers Daniel.

(Car in question is a 1990 325i Sport)

Not as standard, the ecu controls the fuel pump via a relay.

It is a recommended fit as an effective anti theft device though. If you've had one of these fitted then it could be hidden anywhere..

If you're just looking to disable the pump for a while, fuse 11 is the one you want.

How do you depressurize the fuel feed? Same method?

I have to fit a new fuel filter and didn't want to get covered in LRP

Start engine, pull fuse 11, allow engine to stop.
There will still be a fair bit of fuel spillage though.
