hi ya all... my car is being sprayed this weekend but i am a bit worried about removing the soft top... is this a difficult job??? where do i start???

can any one offer some good advice.. the last thing i wanna do is rip tear or break anything....

i don't think you need to take the roof off
just fold it into the middle just like when you are putting the roof down, then mask it
you should then be able to paint all areas

Is it manual or electric....if its manual no probs just undo the screws at each side and make a note of how many (if any shims) are there,

The electric ones need a little more care ..same thing but take off the rods that raise and lower it and make sure the switch is NOT touched so the motors do not move..it will all go back as it should without problems..
