New clunking....

Hi all wondered if you could help point me in the right direction. I have developed a new clunking sound on the passenger side front when the wheel goes over a bump/manhole cover/slight lump/anything really. I have recently put the car back on std springs and replaced the dampers, everything seems tight enough, ball joint new at last MOT and wheel tight, no play I can feel in the bearing. Any suggestions? I have been round and checked all nuts tight dont know where to look next really? Deffo sounds like something is loose though. Is my ball joint likely to be fooked after being taken out twice to do the springs/dampers?
I tried the search option but there are many many posts so apologies in advance...

Thanks and regards,

Baz

have you tried jacking the car up and leavering the ball joint to see if there is any play worth doing this with all the sus bushes and give the wheel a gud shake up and dwn n side to side.is the spring in the right position have you checked the bump stop?

you can fit e36 front arm's on so you can just change the ball joint instead of buying a new E30 lower arm every time you pop a ball joint.just gona av a look for a link on this.
