petrol gauge

hi another problem with my 325i lol when driving you can see the fuel gauge needle flickering up and down any idea why it could be doing this thanks

could be a bad earth.

Tighten the small brass nut on the back of the instrument cluster.

sorry to link on but i also have a prob with fuel gauge, it's the reserve light, it don't come on anymore, quite annoying when i ran out of fuel in dartford tunnel (a 2 lane tunnel) any suspect thing's, fuse's ect

yes, it's probably a bad earth. I undid my fuel gauge from the cluster and melted and reshaped the solder (and added a little more) where the nut tightens to form the earth. Did the trick for me..
