got a hissing noise comin from the rear and its got louder it starts as soon as you start it up. any ideas? cheers

Fuel pump on the way out...? Does it sound louder if you take the rear seat base up?

Never heard a fuel pump hiss! Probably an exhaust leak if it starts with the engine.

Are you hearing it when you're inside and outside of the car?

inside the car, its really getting on my nerves now!!

Well no, but it's kindof a hissy whiney noise, no? I'm rubbish at describing noises anyway!

Hissy whiny noise sounds like the diff, but that won't start until you're moving.

True... I've had both, so my lack of skill at describing a noise is probably compounded by not actually remembering what a noisy fuel pump sounds like!

I'm fairly sure I know what the answer's gonna be, but do any of the snake-oil type things actually work on noisy (input shaft bearing I expect?) diffs? & can you use em with LSDs?

Speaking of snakes, maybe you have a dehydrated Boa-Constrictor trapped under the back seat...
