i gota 320 f reg, and the back box had rotted through and baffles were flaping about. i ordered a new exhaust from german and sweedish and when it arived it looked like the corect one,

so i removed the old one and when placing the new one on i noticed the tail pipe on the new back box was at and angle and wouldnt clear the body.

i sent the old one back and ordered one from another auto factors, again the tail pipe came out at an angle and wounld clear the body.

in desperation i bodged it up using some bits off of a tractor and landrover discovery. sounds terible and looks nasty but works. however i am now after a proper exhaust and i was wandering should the exhuast have an angle? has anyone else had the same problem.

I got twin straight pipes on a new Bosal back box and rear system which is Bosal part no. 285-181. Good quality too.

Check if yours is a 2 piece system though (mine is and it's a year younger) - has a single joint under the car, about half way back. See the website http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk and click on Exhaust systems then select your model - mine is under BMW 320i then 87/10 to 91/04 129HP Saloon Touring Man + Aut. Shows all part numbers.

Probly not the cheapest you can get!

Cheers
