Hello,

I'm new to this forum, I usually hang out at E30tech, but I thought this might be a better place for info. about euro models :)

I have read here about putting a 325i TB on the 320i. Does the same apply to the 323i?

Are there any other simple mods you guys do to 323i's? Motor swap is out of the question right now...

the 323i has the same puny throttle body as the 320i - so there is definitely potential for improvement there. the main issue with swapping a 325i TB onto a 323i is the different plumbing between teh motronic/jetronic systems, a few small modifications will probably be required to get it all working properly

i have a 325i TB on the way for my 323i, hopefully i'll have it all fitted within the month and i'll be able to provide some info for others wanting to do the swap

dont forget that a 2.7 eta bottom end will bolt right up to your 323i head, the stock fuel system would need a bit of modification/upgrading though

I would be interested to know how that turns out as well. I have a 323i and when I recently got a standalone engine management system put on. The mechanic that did it said that from what he saw when it was on the dyno (while he was tuning it) he didn't think a bigger throttle body would make any difference. I don't see how that could be right though.
