illuminated gear knob

illuminated gear knob i just purchased is the mtech type. it has two wires one brown one white/red. how would i wire this up it has just the wires.

well,i guess the brown is - (ground)...so just hook up to the wires to your rear ashtray for instance.they are passing the gearbox...then you get them to fade too..
thats how i have done it

I take it you dont have the correct plug lurking under the gear gaitor? If so simply plug this in......other wise you'll have to take your live feed from the light in the ashtray.

I replaced the badge in my original one with a white one and put the LED for the alarm underneath it to save drilling holes in the dash, so my gearstick only lights up when the alarms on.
